Our Three Golden Rules

Are you being hassled by a Bailiff?

1

Do NOT let them in!

You are not obliged to let anyone into your home, so don’t.

2

Do NOT be intimidated!

You don’t have to speak to bailiffs and do not respond to intimidation.

3

Do NOT sign anything!

You simply mustn’t sign anything a bailiff or bailiff company puts in front of you.

How to avoid bailiffs

Bailiffs must provide you seven days’ notice of a planned visit in writing. This gives you a few days to contact the firm you owe money to or seek advice on how to resolve your problem, potentially avoiding the visit.

If a bailiff comes to your home for the first time, you have the option of refusing admission and asking them to go. Alternatively, you may try to work out a payment plan with them directly, but do it over the phone or via the mail if possible.

If a bailiff ever acts forcefully toward you, call the police immediately at 999.

If you’ve received an enforcement notice, contact us immediately to explore your options. We’re here to assist you and provide you with free, private guidance. Our advisors have been trained to provide you with the best solutions for your scenario.

We can assist you with eliminating most types of debt, including:
